Dr. Green hails from Eastern Canada where she attended McGill University medical school and trained as a family physician. She did a fellowship in palliative care and another in maternal and infant care and chose to follow her passion into maternity care.
After 10 years in general practice and another 12 years working exclusively in maternity and newborn care, Dr. Green pivoted and started working in Medical Aid in Dying. Dr. Green is on Clinical Faculty at both the University of Victoria and UBC.
She has experience teaching medical students, medical residents and colleagues. She enjoys educating both the public and her peers about Medical Assistance in Dying and has given a number of interviews for radio and television on the topic.
